Dr. Kamel is an athletic person who competed in various contact sports growing up, including football, basketball, baseball and soccer, and has sustained many injuries himself. As a result, he believes in bringing together extensive nonsurgical treatment options as well as advanced surgical techniques to help patients return to their previous form of function and activity.
As a researcher and practitioner, Dr. Kamel has co-authored and published several articles contributing to the field of foot and ankle surgery. He lectures at national conferences on topics related to sports medicine, great toe arthritis, and complex foot and ankle fracture repair.
